1. Kanoodle and Espotting expand

Kanoodle & InfoSpace
Kanoodle earlier this month announced that its partnership with InfoSpace has been finalized. InfoSpace should already be distributing Kanoodle's search listings across its search network sites.
WebCrawler, Dogpile, MetaCrawler and Go2Net are among the sites in the InfoSpace search network.
Kanoodle says one of the primary benefits of Kanoodle teaming up with InfoSpace will be an increase in exposure for advertisers. This of course should lead to more traffic.

Espotting & Kelkoo
Just recently Espotting expanded its deal with Kelkoo in the UK to cover 4 European territories and 30 channels.
France, Germany, Spain and the UK will benefit from the contextual advertising deal with Kelkoo, Europe's leading shopping search engine.
Espotting says it was the first paid placement service to expand into contextual advertising back in November 2001. The expanded deal will place the top 5 listings in appropriate categories on Kelkoo.

2. Overture Expands and Improves

Earlier this month Cory Kleinschmidt posted this tidbit on Traffick.com.

He says that the Overture accounts area was offline for 18 hours while maintenance was carried out to fix bugs. During this time many upgrades and improvements were also made to various aspects of the DirecTraffic Center.
Part of the maintenance carried out was the addition of the Click Index feature to your account. Basically it is a rating out of 5 that indicates how the click-through rates of your listings compare to your competitors' listings.
If any of your listings don't perform well enough, Overtures says they might be removed. I doubt if all advertisers will see that particular change as an improvement.

Overture Italy.

4. IMC2003 Montreal - Here to stay

Lennart Svanberg and the awesome guys at MontrealMedia.com have booked
the Palais des Congrès conference centre until 2006. So for the next few years the Internet Marketing Conference is set to stay in beautiful Montreal!
Thanks to everyone who came and introduced yourself to me, it was great to meet you all.
Some of the rumors I heard at this year's conference include Overture moving into Scandinavia late this year.

The good people at GenieKnows.com are undergoing changes to soon re-launch the site as a pay per visit search engine.
