1. Espotting increases distribution in Europe
====================================

This month Espotting announced deals with a number of European sites that it says will increase its distribution by nearly 500 million requests a year.

Espotting's top 3 results now appear on Telepolis and eresMas in Spain. With the inclusion of Telepolis eresMas alongside Espotting's other Spanish partners, Yahoo! Spain, Lycos and Altavista, its market reach is now 70%.

Dooyoo will display up to 15 Espotting listings which were previously provided by Overture. Espotting says the listings have been strategically integrated within the product sections of the site to provide highly targeted visitors.

Espotting Ireland has launched with 61% market reach through partnerships with Yahoo! UK & Ireland as well as Esat BT. Yahoo! UK & Ireland and Esat BT will display Espotting's top 5 results in an area labeled, 'Sponsored Matches.'

Espotting now has operations in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Ireland with plans to open in Scandinavia in the coming months.

A sign that pay per click search engine advertising really is going global.

2. Overture UK signs more deals
===============================

Overture UK and various Tiscali entities in Europe have struck a deal for the next few years that will bring Overture's UK advertisers more traffic.

The Overture UK results already appear on Tiscali in the UK. Tiscali Germany and France were also mentioned to now be displaying Overture results.

UKOnline and a top finance portal in the UK are also set to use Overture listings.

3. PageRank research report & Google lawsuit
=====================================

Here is an in-depth research report on the PageRank values of various search engines and pay per click search engines.

According to Dr. Edel Garcia, the author of the report, it contains scientific, marketing and legal arguments on the current implementation of PageRank.

It also mentions the recent lawsuit filed against Google by SearchKing.

I don't think that Google is treating anyone unfairly with PageRank. It should be an automated system that only has human interference when something goes wrong. Also, if this is truely the case, SearchKing doesn't have a case.

A good article by Danny Sullivan of SearchEngineWatch.com with information on the SearchKing case can be found here:
