Pay Per Click Search Engines Update #020
December 28, 2001.
I hope most of you enjoyed your winter Christmas while I, in Australia, enjoyed 39 degrees Celsius (102f) and 60% humidity on December 25th.
The forecast for New Years is looking just as good so everyone will be in for a hot night.
Australia's great weather aside, may you all have great new year celebrations and a great 2002.

1. New Reporting at Ah-ha
=========================
Ah-ha has updated its reporting feature to allow access to more information than before.
You can view traffic reports by day, month or year and check out your best 5 keywords as soon as you log in. You also have access to Logolink and various account statistics in your main accounts area.
As the system upgrades have already been carried out, all these features are available now.

2. FindWhat Announcements
=========================
FindWhat recently announced that it is raising its revenue guidance for the 4th quarter for 2001. The figure chosen in October was $6.25 million but it has now been raised to $7 million.
FindWhats expectation for 2001 is now $19.5 million.
It also announced that it is raising its EPS (earning per share) guidance to around 50% more than its 3rd quarter EPS. That is a change from 5 to 6 cents to this quarters guidance.

3. Overture on Excite and WebCrawler
====================================
With the announcement of Excite.com filing for bankruptcy, Overture has sealed a deal to have all of its listings displayed on searches conducted at Excite.
Even if you're listed in Inktomi, your results will appear in search results at Excite.
You will also be able to see the same results at WebCrawler.com.

5. ePilots new AdCenter
=======================
Several months ago I mentioned ePilot had stopped paying its users to visit search results, in turn making it a better investment.
Now ePilot has also revamped it's whole accounts area. It has taken 2 years of feedback and ideas from its users and created the new AdCenter.
New features include the ability to set individual keywords, or all of your keywords a specific top 5 ranking. You can also create a group of specific keywords and modify their bids or rankings as a group.

6. Next conference in Vancouver, Canada
========================================
Remember the Internet Marketing Conference I attended in Berlin last month? Well, the next one is being planned for Vancouver, Canada.
It will be run over 4 days from April 2 until April 5, 2002. There will also be a World Association of Internet Marketers (WAIM) meeting in Vancouver.
During which time you will not only get to see professionals speak but, you will also get the chance to ask them the questions you want answered.
I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but it is likely there will be another Europe based conference late 2002 and it looks like there will even be one in Australia early 2003.
This is the perfect opportunity to have a tax deductible holiday to Canada, Europe and Australia.
The website won't have the details of the Vancouver conference until around January 5, so I'll mention the URL again next month.
See you there, again!
