1. Optimizing your GoTo.com bids
================================
Would you like to spend less and get the same results from GoTo? You can save time and money by optimizing your keyword bids at GoTo.com using a Keyword Bid Optimizer (KBO).
Wouldn't it be great, if someone would email you every day and let you know when you could lower your bids without losing your ranking?
The KBO does that. It also emails you every day with details of which of your keywords have changed ranking.
I think it's fair to make the assumption that most people who advertise with GoTo don't check the bids on all of their keywords. It would be nice to have the time to complete such a task.
The KBO will enable you to check the bids and ranking for all of your keywords and domains, at the same time.
It will take you a few minutes a day to check wether you should change anything.
When I first visited the following URL, someone was paying 14 cents for the top spot and someone was paying 3 cents for the second spot. The KBO would show them that they could lower the bid by 10 cents and still be ranked first.

Now when you visit that URL, you will see someone has taken the second spot for 8 cents, when they could be paying 4.
It's not hard to find other examples of this, in fact you will probably find examples of this by searching for keywords that you have bid on.
The KBO will show you how many searches were completed on your keywords. It will also show you the top 20 bids and where you are ranked.

2. Name change for RocketLinks.com
==================================
On September 6, 2000 RocketLinks.com changed its name to Bay9.com.
Bay9.com claims, "This change reflects the fact that the company has grown beyond its original scope of a paid for placement search engine. As you already know, the banner network, email auction, contests and featured search placements are among many successful products already launched."
The previous 2 months for Bay9.com have attracted over 100,000 new registrants. Bay9 hope to double this number over the next 2 months.
3. GoTo.com partners with AOL
=============================
If you are ranked within the top 3 results on GoTo.com, your site will appear in results of searches conducted on AOL. The top 2 ranked sites will appear in Netscape Search results.
An agreement signed by GoTo and America Online has made GoTo the exclusive pay per click search provider for America Online's 23 million members and users of AOL.com and Netscape Search.
GoTo estimates this partnership will bring 3 to 5 times more traffic to the top listings, when it is up and running.
