MIVA
Category: Top 10 PPC Search Engines
Title: MIVA
Url: http://www.miva.com/us/
Description: MIVA offers a low cost alternative by specialising in the delivery of contextual and vertically focused Pay-Per-Click Ads. MIVA’s Pay-Per-Click Ads are distributed across two different networks.

The MIVA Precision Network concentrates on specific business categories or verticals and has been developed for advertisers looking for highly targeted vertical traffic. The Precision Network is currently available in the US and UK and covers sectors including automotive, finance, health/beauty and recruitment. This vertical approach to Pay-Per-Click is designed to enhance targeting for advertisers and in turn drive lower volume, higher value leads.

The MIVA Core Network is a broad distribution network comprising predominantly content sites. The Core Network is available in the US and Europe and enables advertisers to have their Pay-Per-Click Ads displayed on some of the world’s leading news and lifestyle sites. MIVA’s contextual focus provides advertisers with a solution that is both targeted and available at a significantly lower cost of entry than the pay-per-click search networks.

MIVA provides good tools to help advertisers manage their pay per click campaigns.

MIVA's Campaign Manager allows you to easily manage groups of ads automatically by assigning them to a campaign that has a specific budget and schedule. The Campaign Manager gives you complete control over the MIVA Network on a particular date and time as well as how much of your budget will be allotted to those ads during that time.

The AdAnalyzer is a robust post-click analytical tool that gives advertiser complete control of their advertising by showing the actual return on investment by keyword and campaign.

Reporting is good and there is plenty of information to help you improve ROI.

  • Bid Positions display the amount you need to bid in order to achieve a particular position.

  • Statistics on click spend and average Cost-Per-Click ( CPC) are now displayed for each ad.

MIVA has an automatic account replenishing option where you can set a threshold and the amount you want automatically deposited to your account. It has a minimum deposit of $25 and a minimum bid of $0.10.

The other benefit with MIVA is they currently have a list of some 650,000 keywords that you can buy for 1p that currently have no bids! This is a fantastic way of getting some low cost traffic to your sites

Each ad and keyword needs to be manually approved, a slow process that can take days and reminders, and makes it almost impossible to test ad campaigns.

Same as Darryl. MIVA is a scam and does not generate any REAL traffic. I think they have some of their employees or an automated system clicking on ads to generate income for the company. I wonder if this will get published too!

I have used it, as you recommended, and they burnt ALL my money in 2 hours. I received traffic that did NOT take ANY action. Did not stay on the page, click on anything. Zero, nada!!! I am sending the visitors to the same landing pages that are converting nicely from Google Adwords. I really want to see if you will publish this comment...

I use Miva and find them to be a very good source of traffic at low cost. I get 100\'s of clicks from them for 50.00 per month. Your key words need to be approved which has never taken me more than 2 days then your ads are up and running. I put out good ads with a just a few of the best keywords and get a really good response. I use google and yahoo too, but find miva to be the best value and they do a really nice job for me.

Totally agree with John and Darrel, it looks like they have lots of automated traffic, even with 0.01 bids I get about 100 visits a day but they all last 0 seconds. SCAM... worst ppc ever

I had my whole deposit amount burnt in one day. No sales and a high number of clicks that just seem wrong. Would not use them again. The landing page I used was the same with Google which is converting.
